As our summer nights are coming to an end, I want to cherish and remember these nights I have with my children. After a day worshiping together as a family, getting rid of some weeds, and playing on the lake with a knee board, skis and kayaks.
We had the best ending. We watched the sunset together. Eating apple crisp made from the neighbors apples. While reading Runaway Ralph. Oh, summer don’t go! These days are so few and precious in my heart!
Just another fun saying from Rahab!
“Mom, I have the hook-ups.” She means she has the hiccups. It reminds me of the days she would look to the sky and say “auto” when she saw an airplane!
This week we sent Esther off to camp for 4 days and 3 nights. She had a great week! She plans on writing a blog about her adventure so stay posted! 🙂
Jadon is off doing day camp for the week, too.
I had no idea he had been waiting for years to take this picture with his Mom! He was sad and bummed with we dropped Esther off for the past two years because he wasn’t included in the picture. His first time at camp picture! Yay!
He is enjoying shooting something new at a target each day. He has done a sling shot & a bow and arrow so far. He is really excited to shot a BB gun, hopefully he gets to do that this week.
Update: Jadon did get to shoot a BB gun! He loved it! He also shot a paint gun and made a sling shot!
Rahab had some one on one time with me, Mom! We had a playdate at the park and with donuts! I had a great time with these blondes!
Rahab and I had some girl time painting our nails and watching a movie. Love spending time with her!
She also got to spend some one on one time with Grandma Ferol! She chose Candy Land and won both times!
The kids and I had the opportunity to go crabbing on the Puget Sound on July 28th, 2016. It was an amazing experience. We had an amazing fisherman teaching us the tricks of the trade!
Mr. Smith showed us how to get the crab pots ready. He used cat food, tuna, salmon, & chicken. Hoping the bait will attract lots of crabs!
We enjoyed our time on the boat!
We also laid some ring traps. Jadon loved throwing the buoys out. They all had an opportunity to pull in the pots.
Crabs were caught! Yay! We learned how to tell if there were female or male. Which species of crab we caught, Dungeness or Red Rock. How to measure the crabs to find out if they were keepers our not.
Of course there was outdoor classroom opportunities. We also learned about ocean scum, jellyfish, and seaweed.
It was amazing day on the puget sound! Other than not reaching our limit on crabs it was a perfect day!
To add the icing on the cake, Mr. & Mrs. Smith invited us over to eat our catch of the day! What a blessing!
Very thankful to the Smith family for inviting us to join the crabbing adventure! We learned a ton and had a fabulous time! Thank you!
Esther and I went to the USA women’s Olympic gymnastics trials. It was Esther Christmas gift this year! It was an amazing time! San Jose did a great job hosting. We enjoyed playing together before the main event.
The gymnasts were amazing! We had amazing seats! We also got to attend an invite only parade of Olympians. The had 130 previous Olympians attend the parade. From the 1950 to current. It was quite an honor to see all these past Olympians.
We did get out of San Jose on Saturday afternoon. We headed to San Gregorio beach with our amazing host Zac! We took over his house while his family was gone! Thanks Zac!
I’m so thankful for this precious, quality time I got to spend with just Esther! She is an amazing young lady with much determination. I thought I could beat her up the climbing wall….well, let’s just say I need to work on my upper body strength! My hope is to always encourage her to take courage in the route God has laid out for her!
We had an excited week celebrating Parker and Mac! We started off with a family gathering, celebrating the weekend birthdays.
The next day was rehearsal and dinner! There was a 140 guests for the rehearsal dinner! Crazy how big are these two families! Thankful for my family!
Rahab had a blast getting ready with the girls! She kept asking Nikki to reapply her lipstick all day long!
Parker and Mack’s ceremony was beautiful. Very honoring to each other. What a blessing to be apart of the ceremony.
My aunts sang at the wedding. This has become a tradition. It was an extra special moment moment for me. My mom had lost her voice after her last surgery in March. To see her singing at my cousins wedding was an amazing to see.
Mr. & Mrs. Wharram! Love them! July 2nd, 2016
Reception Fun!
The party still continued on for the next few days! We did a family worship. What a blessing to worship together! Greg and the kids bought my a ice-cream cake on my birthday! It was an amazing week with family!
It isn’t often that I get the privilege of watching my husband do what he was born to do! Thanks to the Mohrweis family we took a ‘little’ trip to Friday Harbor, June 1st, 2016. I couldn’t be more proud of my husband. He was in his element. I just wish I could convince the FAA to allow wives to sit in the cockpit, but for some reason they strictly forbid that! Although I will never get to watch my husband in his cockpit, I will take the Cessna 66Juliet cockpit whenever I can get it!
We took a tour around the island. I was hoping to see whales! I can’t believe I have lived in WA for 9 years and have yet to see whales! Someday it will happen!
Once we were on the ground we found these awesome Scoot Coupe! Not a car or a moped a Scoot Coupe. I felt like I was in a Dr Seuss book. It was fun, scary, and awesome way to explore Friday Harbor on the ground!
On the way home we did a touch and go into Boeing Field. This is my favorite part! It truly has the best view of the city! LOVE.
Thankful for the blessing of seeing my husband’s talent of flying. He really has a knack for it. Praise God!
Lately Rahab has been playing the piano. It has been amazing to watch. I was able to record her this time. Her creativity that is popping through head is amazing to me. Keep exploring Rahab.
Dear Lord, teach me how to foster this creativity you have given her.
God is moving in Jadon’s heart. He learned this verse on Wednesday. Then out of the blue today he starts singing.
I saw heaven standing open and there before me was a white horse, whose rider is called Faithful and True. With justice he judges and makes war. -Revelation 19:11

My heart is well this Easter! Praise God for Jesus return!
